Carole Booth Opening

Last night was the official opening of Carole Booth's show at the public art space located in the Gladstone Community Center.  Carole and her husband Bill, moved to Gladstone about 2 years ago from the Minneapolis, MN area. She has worn many creative hats during her life as a landscape designer, graphic artist, and at one point a stained glass worker. She is now an active member of the Northland Art League and had many fellow league members out to show their support.  Carole didn't start painting with pastels until later in her life, but to see her work, you wouldn't know it! Carole gave an excellent talk on her process using pastels and the origins of that medium.  Gladstone Arts Commission member Christine Yannitelli welcomed the crowd and was a great host during Carole's talk. Mayor Barry McCullough and his wife Anita, were both present and are great supporters of the Arts in our community. Click here to watch as Carole explains her process. Carole's work will be on display for the next 5 weeks. Please come and check out the show if you weren't able to make it out last night. Below are just a few shots we took from the opening!

Nice show. Thanks to the Gladstone Community Center for sharing this space with artists, and those of us in need of art.
